People planning to travel Mysore, the City of Palaces on this Dasara would be quite disappointed to know that there will be no extra trains to the city except on the concluding day of Vijayadashami. Therefore, people will have to depend on the road transport in this festive season. Owing to the track-doubling work, South Western Railway’s Mysore Division has come up with the decision of not running any special trains on the first nine days of Dasara.

A cloak-room will also be provided along with a pay-and-use washroom on Platform No.1. Also, a food plaza will be opening at same platform on October 8. The railway division is also providing emergency medical care centre, an additional prepaid autorickshaw counter at Mysore’s 2nd entry. Along with this, the IRCTC kiosk will be assisting tourists on packaged tours.
