Westin Chennai Celebrated its Cake Mixing Ceremony with Guests

Thanksgiving celebrations of the year kickstarted with the traditional cake mixing ceremony at the prestigious five star Westin Chennai, Velachery. Counted among the most sought after five star Chennai hotels, the hotel celebrated an age-old tradition of preparing Christmas confectionary by inviting its guests to mix exotic seasonal nuts and condiments in the liquor.

The venue was decorated in a traditional look along with a fancy mixing table at the center stage, which was laden with pistachios, cashew nuts, walnuts and dried cherries. The sound of joyous carols along with waiters dressed in Santa’s hats and elves’ shoes perfectly complemented the mood by serving lip-smacking snacks. The event commenced by the bakery’s chef giving demonstration of preparing the traditional favorites such as minced piles and Yule logs. The guests were invited to be a part of this traditional celebration by making one for their own.

Animesh Barat, the Director, Food & Beverage started the celebration by mixing the first batch of nuts along with liquor. Executive sous chef, Priya Roy assisted him in this ceremony. Westin is counted among the topmost Chennai hotels and is known for serving guests in the most novel ways.
